UC Santa Cruz offers a wide range of resources to support student success and well-being. Career Success, Student Health Services, Slug Support, and the Basic Needs program are just some of the services available to help navigate academic, personal, and career goals. The Division of Student Affairs and Success Resource Directory is your guide to the many programs, services, and communities that support student life at UC Santa Cruz. Whether you are seeking academic support, well-being resources, or ways to get involved, this directory makes it easy to find what you need. Career Success
Career Success helps students and alumni prepare for life after UCSC by building essential career skills and connecting them with opportunities. The office offers one-on-one career coaching, hosts job fairs and recruitment events, and partners with employers to provide valuable networking experiences. Students can explore internships and on-campus employment through a variety of career development and experiential learning opportunities. Career Success also manages student hiring and onboarding, and their website serves as a central hub for resources on jobs, grad school, and career planning.

Student Health Services
Student Health Services (SHS) provides accessible, student-focused health care for all registered UCSC students, regardless of insurance. Services include routine and same-day medical care, mental health support, health education programs, and on-site lab, pharmacy, and x-ray services—all delivered by a team of licensed medical professionals.
Use the secure Health e-Messenger portal to communicate with Student Health staff, view test results, upload immunization records, and manage your health information online.

Slug Support
College can be challenging, and the Slug Support Program through the Dean of Students Office is here to help. This team of case managers works with students to tackle issues affecting their success—from food, housing, and financial needs, to helping coordinate academic, health, or personal resources. They don’t provide counseling directly but partner with Counseling & Psychological Services to get you support as needed. You can refer yourself or be referred by anyone on campus—and they’re available in person, over video, or phone.

Basic Needs
UCSC is committed to supporting student well-being inside and outside the classroom. The Basic Needs program connects students with resources for food, housing, financial support, and more. Whether you’re facing a short-term challenge or ongoing need, this is a starting point for getting help and staying focused on your education.

Student Conduct
The student conduct process at UCSC is designed to be educational, not punitive. It promotes accountability, fairness, and community responsibility while helping students learn from their experiences. If you’re involved in a conduct case—or just want to understand your rights and responsibilities—this page explains what to expect and how to engage in the process.
